Day 1:Arrive Cairo

Welcome to Egypt, renowned for its historical treasures and captivating wonders. Our journey commences in Cairo, the sprawling capital and the largest city on the African continent.

To ensure you don’t miss any part of this small group tour, please aim to arrive at your starting point by 6:00 PM. This evening, we will gather for a welcome dinner to get acquainted with our fellow travelers.

Day 2:Cairo - Giza - Cairo

Our Egyptian exploration begins with the oldest standing structures and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the majestic Great Pyramids of Giza. We’ll tour these pyramids, including venturing inside the Pyramid of Khufu. We’ll also marvel at the nearby Great Sphinx, a symbol of Egypt with its lion’s body and king’s head. Next, we’ll visit a weaving workshop to learn about the art of Egyptian carpet making.

SPECIAL EXPERIENCE:

Indulge in a delicious lunch with stunning views of the Great Pyramids of Giza at Khufu’s Restaurant. We’ll then uncover the remarkable Step Pyramid of Sakkara, believed to have been designed by Imhotep, the vizier of King Zoser.

Day 3:Cairo - Luxor

An early start awaits us as we bid farewell to Cairo and fly to Luxor. Situated on the east bank of the Nile River, this city embraces two monumental ancient structures. In Luxor, we’ll explore the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, dedicated to the Pharaoh Amun. Its immense size is a testament to the contributions of approximately 30 pharaohs over time. Afterward, we’ll visit a local gallery to appreciate the ancient art of papyrus making and perhaps purchase some unique artwork.

SPECIAL EXPERIENCE:

As the sun sets, we’ll experience the magic of Luxor Temple, once connected to Karnak Temple by the Avenue of Sphinxes. This temple also boasts a towering pink granite obelisk, one of a pair, with its counterpart now gracing the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Day 4:Luxor - Nile Cruise (Active Day)

This morning, we embark on a journey to the West Bank, an unparalleled open-air museum. Our first stop is the mesmerizing Valley of the Kings, a royal burial ground for nearly 500 years. We’ll delve into tombs carved into the limestone rock, each following a similar design of corridors, antechamber, and sarcophagus chamber.

SPECIAL EXPERIENCE:

Descend into the depths of Tutankhamun’s Tomb, adorned with intricate corridors, ancient artifacts, and well-preserved hieroglyphic paintings.

Our next destination is the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, revered as one of Egypt’s most successful rulers. We’ll also witness the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

We’ll then pause at a local alabaster workshop to learn about the craftsmanship of this locally quarried stone and have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs.

This afternoon, we’ll board our Nile River cruise ship and savor a delightful lunch on board.

Today, we’ll spend the day cruising along the Nile River, setting sail for Edfu. We’ll pass through the lock at Esna and continue our journey southward. Relax and unwind as you soak in the picturesque scenery along this iconic waterway.

Day 6:Nile Cruise

Nestled between Esna and Aswan on the west bank of the Nile lies Edfu. This Egyptian city, home to approximately 60,000 people, is renowned for the Temple of Horus, our primary destination this morning.

Dedicated to the Falcon God, this magnificent ancient temple is among the best-preserved in Egypt and second in size only to Karnak Temple. Afterward, we’ll cruise to the riverside Temple of Kom Ombo, a dual temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris, before continuing our journey to Aswan in the evening.

Tonight, we’ll enjoy a festive Galabeya party on board the ship.

Day 7:Nile Cruise - Abu Simbel - Nile Cruise

This morning, we’ll transfer to Aswan airport for a flight to Abu Simbel. Here, we’ll explore the extraordinary UNESCO-listed twin temples of Abu Simbel. These temples were carved into the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC as a monument to himself and his queen, Nefertari. After spending time marveling at these colossal structures, we’ll fly back to Aswan for a delightful Nubian show on board the ship.

Sound & Light Show at Philae: Experience the magic of Philae Temple at night with a captivating Sound & Light Show. Stroll through the dramatically lit temple as its history unfolds. Day 8:Nile Cruise – Aswan - Cairo

This morning, we bid farewell to the Nile cruise ship and its crew. Our day will be dedicated to exploring the captivating sights of Aswan. During a half-day tour, we’ll visit the High Dam, an engineering marvel, and the picturesque Philae Temple, located on Agilkia Island.

We’ll then explore the 12th-century Saladin Citadel of Cairo, a historic fortress, and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture.

Our final stop is the 14th-century Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, a bustling souk in Cairo’s Islamic District. Known for its handmade crafts, it’s the perfect place to experience traditional Arabic coffee and practice your bargaining skills. We’ll also visit a jewelry shop specializing in personalized gold and silver cartouches.

Today marks the end of our extraordinary adventure through Egypt and Jordan. After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Egypt and begin our journey home, carrying cherished memories of this remarkable experience.

Coptic Cairo: Explore the ancient sites and rich culture of Coptic Christians in Old Cairo. Visit the Hanging Church, possibly the oldest Christian church in Egypt, and Abu Serga, believed to be a resting place for the Holy Family during their flight from King Herod. We’ll also visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of Egypt’s oldest synagogues.

Islamic Cairo: Discover the Gayer Anderson Museum, housed in two 16th and 17th-century buildings with unique architecture and filled with antique furniture from across the Middle East. Nearby, we’ll visit the Ibn Toulon Mosque, one of Cairo’s largest mosques with strong Persian influences, and the El Sultan Hassan Mosque, a 13th-century masterpiece of Islamic architecture.

  • 30% of the whole amount will be charged if canceled  40  to 31  days before the check-in date.
