Our first stop will be Karnak Temple, a stunning site known as the largest temple complex in the world. It dates back to the 21st century BC, and is a testimony to the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization, as its ruins extend back nearly 3,000 years.
Next, we will visit Luxor Temple, a masterpiece of ancient architecture that was expanded and modified by various rulers over the centuries. It uniquely features Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic influences, making it a wonderful cultural and historical landmark.
After exploring these magnificent temples, we will take a break for lunch at one of the local restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).
After lunch, we will head to the Valley of the Kings, a necropolis where the tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom era are hidden in the desert cliffs. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore three of these elaborately decorated tombs, admiring the intricate hieroglyphs and burial chambers.
Continuing our trip, we will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari. This stunning temple, dedicated to ancient Egypt’s only female pharaoh, Queen Hatshepsut, rises majestically from the desert landscape in a series of terraces, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
Before we conclude our tour, we will stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, two huge stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These majestic figures once guarded the entrance to the pharaoh’s funerary temple.
Finally, we’ll give you some free time to explore Luxor at your leisure, and perhaps indulge in shopping for souvenirs or local handicrafts. We will then accompany you to your hotel in Hurghada, ensuring a comfortable and enriching experience throughout your visit to Luxor.
