In the morning we will transfer you to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival at Luxor Airport, our tour guide will wait for you and then take you to start your daily tour of Luxor with a visit.
Our first stop will be Karnak Temple, a stunning site known as the largest temple complex in the world. It dates back to the twenty-first century BC, and is a testimony to the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization, as its antiquities date back nearly 3,000 years.
Next, we will visit Luxor Temple, a masterpiece of ancient architecture that was expanded and modified by various rulers over the centuries. It is characterized by Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic, and Islamic influences, making it a wonderful cultural and historical landmark.
After exploring these magnificent temples, we will take a break for lunch at one of the local restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).
After lunch, we’ll head to the Valley of the Kings, a necropolis where the tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom are hidden in desert cliffs. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore three of these elaborately decorated tombs, admiring the intricate hieroglyphs and burial chambers.
Continuing our journey, we will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahri. This stunning temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, ancient Egypt’s only female pharaoh, rises majestically from the desert landscape in a series of terraces, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
Before we conclude our tour, we will stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, which are two huge stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These majestic figures once guarded the entrance to the pharaoh’s funerary temple.
Finally, after your tour ends, you will later be transferred to Luxor Airport to fly to Cairo, and upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo.
